After run is built to be a private, personal running companion. This Privacy Policy explains how after run team handles information when you use the After run app or visit the After run website.
Summary
After run does not collect, sell, rent, track, or share your personal information.
The app does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, third-party statistics tools, user accounts, or paid features.
Information We Do Not Collect
After run does not collect:
- your name, email address, phone number, or account information
- device identifiers for tracking or advertising
- analytics or usage statistics
- location data on our servers
- payment information
- Apple Health data on our servers
- running data on our servers
Apple Health Data
After run reads running-related data from Apple Health only after you grant permission through iOS.
This may include running workouts and related data such as distance, duration, pace, calories, heart rate, route, cadence, power, and elevation, depending on what is available in Apple Health and what permissions you allow.
Apple Health is the source of truth for workout data. After run uses this data only to provide app features such as run summaries, monthly goals, trends, calendar views, shoe mileage, run details, and shareable images.
After run does not use Apple Health data for advertising, tracking, data mining, resale, or unrelated purposes.
You can manage or revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in the iOS Health app or iOS Settings.
Local Data Storage
After run stores app data locally on your device using Apple system storage. This may include cached run summaries, goals, shoes, shoe photos, run metadata, route cache, sync state, and app preferences.
This local data stays on your device unless you choose to share it yourself, for example by saving or sending a generated run image.
Deleting the app may delete locally stored app data, subject to iOS behavior and any device backup settings you control.
Photos, Clipboard, and Notifications
After run may request access to Photos only when you choose to save a generated run image.
After run may use the clipboard only when you choose to copy a generated image or related content.
Notifications are optional and off by default. If enabled, notifications are used only for app-related reminders or updates, such as letting you know when a new run is detected.
Website
The After run website is intended to provide basic app information and access to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use.
The after run team does not use website analytics, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, or tracking pixels.
Third Parties
After run does not share your personal information with third parties because we do not collect personal information.
The app relies on Apple system frameworks, including Apple Health, HealthKit, Photos, notifications, and local device storage. Your use of Apple services and devices is also governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
After run is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app changes, if new features are added, or if legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will update the policy in the app or on the website.
